It’s Friday, witches! And the new release of my contemporary romance novel, One Thing Better, is only FIVE DAYS away!
I’m not panicking. Are you panicking? I might be panicking. But that’s okay. We’re prepared, at least. Tuesday’s new release is a milestone moment that’s taken months of planning. From beta readers to Instagram reviewers to professional critics, One Thing Better has resonated with readers and garnered excitement that we hope will carry over to our book launch. Check out some of the highlights below. We’re thrilled to finally put it out there and see what happens.
Oh, if any of you are friends with Reese Witherspoon, Jenna Bush Hager, Oprah, or any book club people, mentioning One Thing Better would definitely make my life… um, better. Tell them Kirkus loved it. Gosh, it’s nice having street cred.
Here’s a little romantic inspiration from one of my all-time favorite One Thing Better scenes ahead of the new release.
“Ben looks at me. Really looks at me. Cares about my eyes, ass, and everything else melt away. Maybe I imagine it—this strange connection—but I suspect he sees me exactly the way I am and somehow likes me, anyway.”
One Thing Better, Chapter Twenty-One
Aw, sometimes I think about Ben… Don’t tell Joe.
So, has everything been about the new release lately? Um, pretty much. But here’s my news:
- The red pen edits are still underway for my next contemporary romance TBR next year (and we get to do all of this over again!).
- Coming Soon… The Delilah Duffy Mystery Series makeover reveal! She looks amazing! And she’s getting a box set!
- Tuesday’s release means readers can finally post reviews on Amazon! So, if you’ve read OTB, mark your calendar. The Amazon feelers love it when a book gets a lot of attention! Please, leave your review.
Here are some review highlights from Goodreads and beyond to usher in the new release of One Thing Better:
- “Absolutely loved this book!!!”
- “This book hit home for me in a lot of ways. I truly loved it. An easy 5⭐️ read in my eyes.”
- “If you read one book this year, make sure it’s ONE THING BETTER by Jessica Sherry.”
- “When Lena observes that “falling in love is all about the little things,” this narrative will make readers believe it.” Kirkus Starred Review
- “…one of my favorite books of the year.” – Reedsy Discovery
- “… beautiful, captivating and utterly brilliant
- “WOWWWWW! I’m literally speechless over this book.”
The book love has been amazing! But anxiety always finds a way in. Here’s an excellent quote to stave off the new release panic this week:
“Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear.” – George Addair
Speaking of fear, Halloween is only 12 days away. More on that next week.
Oh, and expect a shoutout from me on new release day.
Later, Gator.
