A MEGA planner! I have never had a planner this ginormous, not even as an educator. This thing feels like a cinderblock only pretty, with stickers. But my hefty writing goals require a serious planner. So, hopefully a BIG planner filled with BIG goals will lead to BIG accomplishments in 2024. (Oh, here’s where you can buy one just like it).
More on my writing goals later… First, some strange things have happened in the last two weeks. Like this…
On a random Tuesday, Sea-Devil: A Delilah Duffy Mystery had a BIG day for some unknown reason, resulting in over 3,200 downloads across several retailers and a surge in best-seller categories like this one. Reaching #1 in some categories felt good, even if the book is free. The weird thing is… we have no clue why it happened. A normal day results in around a hundred downloads. November’s downloads totaled 2,200. So, 3,000 in one day is a big deal (and a curious one). Santa’s Elves must’ve been toying with the algorithms that day!
Another strange coincidence… Sea-Devil and One Thing Better close in on over 100 reviews this week. One Thing Better reached 101 on Goodreads, while Sea-Devil sits at 99 on Amazon. For two novels published eight years apart, that’s kinda weird. But it’s good news!
Now, back to those writing goals and other news…
- Topping our wishlist for 2024… PUBLISHING TWO NOVELS! The first is a next-door neighbor romance featuring a jaded teacher and a grumpy writer (the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree on this one) called Yes No Maybe. The preorder is coming soon… like next week. The second will be a standalone sequel to One Thing Better called Every Good Thing. When difficult changes threaten Lena and Ben’s better-ever-after, will the couple turn to each other or drift further apart? Every Good Thing arrives in late 2024.
